About this game
Pony Derby is the horse race booth from the fairground. Each rider has a wooden ramp with holes worth +1, +2 and +3, and every ball you land sends your wind-up tin pony galloping along its lane. Drag up and let go to throw: the length of the drag sets the power, the direction sets the aim. Three hits in a row start a hot streak, and each hit after that gives an extra step. The first pony past the checkered flag wins, and close finishes go to the photo camera.
The Festival Tour has 120 races across six festivals: a village fair, a seaside pier at sunset, a harvest fair, a lantern night, a snowy winter market and a grand carnival. Each festival adds a new rule: a sea breeze that pushes your ball, a golden +5 hole, hay bales to jump, a ×2 ribbon, holes that slide from side to side, an icy ramp and slippery tracks. Some races swap throwing for a tap-to-the-beat gallop, and every festival has a champion to beat in race 10 and in the final.
Online, up to 8 riders race each other in quick matches or in private rooms with a code. Every rider throws for their own pony, bots fill empty lanes, and quick chat keeps it friendly.
Controls
- Mouse or touch drag up from the bottom of the screen and let go to throw (longer drag = further, direction = aim)
- Keyboard Left/Right to aim, hold Space or Up to charge and release to throw, P or Esc to pause, M to mute
- Gallop rhythm races tap, click or press Space on the beat
