Batak

About this game

Batak is played here on a warm salon table: tulip glasses of çay on the rail, real-feeling cards on felt, and three regulars who bid, signal and play to set your contract. Win the ihale (the bid), name the koz (trumps) and take at least as many tricks as you promised, or play defence and make the bidder go batık.

There are five ways to play, with the usual salon house rules you can switch on or off: İhaleli Batak, Eşli Batak with a partner across the table, Koz Maça Batak and Açık Koz Batak where everyone declares a söz, and 3-player Gömmeli Batak where the bid winner takes the gömü and buries four cards. Must-follow, yükseltme (overtaking), koz kırılması and the scoring all follow the common online-salon rules.

The career takes you through 120 tables in eight venues, from a Bursa neighbourhood kahve to a Cappadocia cave hotel, with rising stakes, challenge tables and a champion at every final. Bots come in three levels; the strongest counts cards, reads voids and partner signals, and plays hands out in its head before it moves.
