About this game
Lantern Caves is a calm puzzle adventure in dark caves. You carry one lantern down with you. Every step burns a little oil, and as the oil runs down your circle of light gets smaller. The cave only shows itself where your light reaches, so every floor starts as darkness with a few warm tiles around you.
The stairs down are sealed. To open them you light every brazier, turn mirrors until a crystal beam reaches the seal crystal, or roll boulders onto pressure plates. Each of the eight worlds adds a new idea: boulders that become stepping stones in water, bridges of light across chasms, fire vents on a rhythm, ice you slide across, and shades that patrol the halls.
Undo is unlimited, and every floor is checked by a solver, so there is always a way through.
Controls
- Keyboard arrow keys or WASD to step (hold to keep walking), Z to undo, R to restart, P or Esc to pause, M to mute, + and - to zoom
- Mouse click a tile to walk there, click a mirror or brazier to use it, wheel to zoom
- Touch tap a tile to walk there, swipe to step, pinch to zoom
