Desk Colony

About this game

Desk Colony is a 3D ant colony game set in a glass box on a desk. You start with a queen and a handful of workers. You feed them, dig, connect new modules to the nest and watch the colony slowly spread across the desk.

A formicarium is a glass nest people build to watch an ant colony up close. Desk Colony makes that idea modular: the nest starts as a single glass box, grows as you connect new modules, and the colony takes up more and more of the desk.

It is a calm management game from our studio, built with three.js. Nothing rushes you, so you can play at your own pace. Turn and zoom the camera freely to look into every corner of the colony. If you have always wanted to keep an ant farm but never set one up at home, this is a gentle way to start one on your desk.
