About this game
Nonogram Nook is a picture logic puzzle game with a cozy desk corner of its own. Each puzzle hides a small picture in a grid. The numbers beside every row and above every column give the runs of filled squares in that line, in order. Fill the squares you can prove, cross out the ones that must stay empty, and the picture appears one line at a time. When the last line matches, the tiles recolour into the finished drawing and rise off the board.
There are 160 puzzles in eight albums, from 5 by 5 warm-ups to 20 by 20 framed scenes. Every album adds something: dragging whole runs, wide and tall grids, five-square guides, heart puzzles where each wrong fill costs a heart, a starry album with no mistake check, and two-colour puzzles where runs of different colours may touch. Every puzzle has exactly one answer and can be solved by logic alone, without guessing.
Controls
- Mouse click or drag along a row or column to fill; right click or drag to cross out; scroll to zoom
- Keyboard arrow keys move, Space fills and X crosses (hold while moving to paint), Z undoes, H gives a hint, Tab switches tool, 1 and 2 pick the colour, Esc pauses
- Touch tap or drag to paint with the current tool; pinch to zoom on big grids; the tray at the bottom switches fill and cross, undoes and gives hints
